A/Prof Andrew Morokoff is a Melbourne-based neurosurgeon with extensive experience in treating brain tumours, epilepsy, as well as spinal, skull base and endoscopic neurosurgery. He works closely with his patients to create a multidisciplinary network that offers support throughout their treatment journey.Andrew completed his medical school training at the University of Melbourne in 1994 and then undertook neurosurgery training at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Children's Hospital and St Vincent's Hospital. He has trained nationally and internationally in Paris and Boston in the fields of brain tumour surgery, paediatric neurosurgery and the latest minimally-invasive spinal surgery techniques. A/Prof Andrew Morokoff holds a PhD in the molecular biology of brain tumours.
Andrew continues to have an active interest in neuro-oncology research and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. He is a regular invited speaker at both national and international conferences and is the head of the brain tumour and epilepsy laboratory at Melbourne University
