Dr Edward Chew is a haematologist with a clinical interest in both malignant and non-malignant components of haematology.He believes the best care is achieved through a holistic approach that integrates clinical skills with laboratory expertise.
Edward obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and completed specialist haematology training in Melbourne at St Vincent’s Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital and Austin Health.
Edward is also committed to basic science and translational research. He has presented in national and international conferences and had his work published in peer-reviewed medical journals. With the support of a scholarship from Leukaemia Foundation Australia, he is currently undertaking a PhD investigating mechanisms of therapy resistance in acute myeloid leukaemia.
