Biography

A/Prof Stephen M Schlicht is a radiologist consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Fitzroy. He is the Director of Nuclear Medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital and has been a consultant radiologist and Nuclear Medicine specialist at St Vincent's Private Radiology since its inception.

A/Prof Schlicht is an experienced radiologist with particular subspecialty interests in hybrid imaging – SPECT/CT and PET/CT and into the future, PET/MR, having spent a sabbatical at St Thomas’s Hospital in London looking at these techniques.

Stephen graduated from the University of Melbourne and was a medical student at the St Vincent’s Hospital clinical school before going on to complete his resident and specialist radiology registrar training at the same hospital. Following his radiology training, Stephen undertook accredited advanced training in nuclear medicine at the Royal Melbourne and Alfred Hospitals.

Stephen is the lead radiologist for the busy Soft Tissue and Bone Tumour service at St. Vincent’s and Peter MacCallum Hospitals and for the Victorian Bone Tumour Registry.
