Biography

Dr Aanjanee Weerasinghe is a Palliative Medicine Specialist at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane.

Dr Weerasinghe completed her specialist training on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, with fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM).

Dr Weerasinghe is passionate about providing early and holistic palliative care to maximize quality of life. She is places value on early advanced care planning to help maintain patient autonomy and informed decision making.

Given her own diverse background and upbringing, Dr Weerasinghe has a special interest in providing compassionate care to culturally and linguistically diverse patients and families.
