Biography

Dr Barbara Demediuk is a Melbourne-based gastroenterologist providing compassionate care to people experiencing discomfort relating to their digestive system.

Dr Barbara Demediuk is an experienced gastroenterologist and endoscopist who offers expertise in the treatment of heartburn, trouble swallowing, stomach bloating, rectal bleeding and abdominal pain.

Barbara graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne and then trained in gastroenterology and hepatology in Australia at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

She then undertook additional international training in the USA at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Upon her return to Melbourne, she worked at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Parkville. She is also involved in teaching junior medical staff and advanced trainees.
