Biography

A/Prof Belinda Gray is an experienced consultant cardiologist and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney.

A/Prof Gray has an interest in all aspects of general cardiology with her sub-specialty interests including Genetic Heart Disease and cardiac genetic testing, prevention of sudden cardiac death, Sports Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging. A/Prof Gray regularly performs stress echocardiography and transoesophageal echocardiography, and is certified as a Level 3 cardiac MRI reporter.

She completed a PhD in Genetic Heart Disease and Sudden Cardiac Death at the University of Sydney, and undertook a 2 year post-doctoral fellowship in Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Sports Cardiology at St George’s, London, UK. 
A/Prof Gray is a specialist in the cardiac assessment of professional athletes, and has worked with numerous international professional sporting bodies. A/Prof Gray is a cardiologist and Director of Genetic Heart Disease and Sports Cardiology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). She is the adult clinical lead for the NSW Health cardiac gene team for Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young at RPAH.
