Dr Belinda Smith is a cardiologist and perioperative physician. She has expertise in both cardiology and perioperative medicine which focusses on the care of people with complex or multiple health problems, before and after surgery.
Dr Smith is an important member of the surgical team whose role is to look after medical care by optimising and assessing fitness for surgery and then looking after any special medical needs post-surgery.
