Biography

Dr David O'Callaghan is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy. His consulting suite is located on the ground floor behind the pharmacy.

Dr O’Callaghan graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1985 and did most of his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at the Mercy Hospital for Women. He then spent a year post membership at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin which is known for its active management of labour program and subsequent low caesarean section rates.
 
David has worked extensively in the public sector but is now full time in his private practice in Fitzroy. After more than 20 years in the private obstetric practice David says “It’s the relationship I develop with the pregnant women I see that drives me to get up in the morning and often the middle of the night also.”
