Biography

Dr Deepinder Miller offers psychiatric services that include providing diagnostic clarification, general practice management plans, as well as short-term or long-term psychotherapy.

Dr Miller treats adults and adolescents with mood disorders, psychosis, drugs and alcohol problems, and ADHD.

She attained her medical degree from the University of Western Australia and completed her specialist training at St Vincent's Public Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Bloomfield Hospital and with Justice Health, based at Long Bay Gaol. She undertook further training in drug and alcohol treatment at the Betty Ford Center in California. She has attained Opioid Treatment Accreditation from the University of Sydney.

Deepinder received the NSW Institute of Psychiatry Special Training Fellowship 2008, the RANZCP Young Investigator of the Year Award 2008, and the New South Wales Institute of Psychiatry Research Fellowship 2009. These awards related to her research conducted at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research into the impact of drugs and alcohol on psychosis in the presence of a defect in the neuregulin-1gene.
