Biography

Dr Kavitha Muthiah is a cardiologist specialising in advanced heart failure, transplant and mechanical circulatory support, but also consults in all aspects of general cardiology.

After graduating from University of Auckland, New Zealand, Dr Kavitha Muthiah completed her cardiology training and PhD studies at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney and the University of New South Wales.

She’s undertaken additional fellowships both locally and internationally in advanced echocardiography at King’s College Hospital, London, adult congenital heart disease at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, and advanced heart failure and transplant at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

Kavitha is currently a National Heart Foundation Post-Doctoral Research Scholar.
