Biography
Dr Khageshwor Pokharel is a medical oncologist who believes that, because everyone’s clinical and personal needs are different, communication and collaborative care are vital to finding the right cancer treatments.
Dr Pokharel adopts a personalised and supportive approach to cancer care while employing the latest evidence-based treatment options.Upon completion of his basic physician training, Khageshwor undertook his specialist oncology training at a number of Queensland hospitals including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s, Princess Alexandra, Mater, and Prince Charles Hospitals. He subsequently completed a clinical observership in lung cancer, genitourinary cancer, and head and neck cancers at Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada.
Khageshow has been involved with a number of clinical trials. He currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and contributes to the training of medical oncology advanced trainees.
