Dr Khin Chaw is an Infectious Diseases Physician offering inpatient consults at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside.

Dr Khin Chaw is an Infectious Diseases Physician and Clinical Microbiologist who trained across major hospitals in Brisbane, Canberra and Wollongong. Dr Chaw obtained dual fellowships with Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and Royal Australasia College of Physicians in 2018. She also completed Master of International Public Health at University of Sydney while working full time and training for her dual fellowships.

Dr Chaw divides her time as a clinical microbiologist and infectious diseases specialist at Pathology Queensland and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside. She has a special interest in treatment of orthopaedic and surgical Infections, prevention and management of peri-operative infections, treatment of multi-resistant infections, infections in immunocompromised patients and travel related infections. She has a research interest in antimicrobial resistance mechanisms and use of genomic technology in diagnostic laboratory.
