Biography
Dr Maroun Mallat is a consultant anaesthetist with over two decades of experience in his field. He has particular experience and expertise in spinal and neuro-anaesthesia.
Maroun graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1990, before going on to complete his specialist anaesthetics training at St Vincent’s Hospital. He subsequently undertook further training in the area of pain management at John Hunter Hospital.
Maroun also has special interests in anaesthesia for orthopaedic surgery, difficult airway management, regional anaesthesia, and is interested in the history of his specialty.
