Biography

Dr Niranjan Arachchi is a gastroenterologist providing comprehensive care to people with gastrointestinal and liver conditions.

As well as expertise performing colonoscopy and gastroscopy, he also has extensive experience in the management of liver and gastrointestinal complaints including viral hepatitis, liver lesions, reflux, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Having graduated from University of Melbourne in 1999 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Niranjan went on to complete his advanced specialist training in gastroenterology and internal medicine.

After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2006, he undertook a 2-year post-graduate research fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.

Since going into private practice in 2009, Niranjan has also completed a further Master of Medicine in clinical epidemiology at the University of Sydney.
