Biography
Dr Roland Hilling-Smith is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in percutaneous interventions including stents, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), rotablation, and chronic total occlusion revascularisation.
Dr Hilling-Smith is also trained in cardiac CT which facilitates comprehensive diagnosis and cardiac management.After graduating in 2005 with a medical degree from Edinburgh University, Scotland, Dr Hilling-Smith moved to Melbourne and undertook advanced cardiology training at MonashHeart. He completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital, before receiving further training in advanced coronary and structural intervention at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, UK.
Dr Hilling-Smith continues to pursue collaborative research projects in the area of patient outcomes following percutaneous structural intervention. He’s routinely invited to speak at international conferences and is also involved in teaching the latest structural interventional techniques to other consultants.
