Biography

Dr Sangeetha Karunagaran is a child and adolescent psychiatrist. She’s committed to finding appropriate evidence-based treatments by collaborating with her patients and their families.

Dr Sangeetha Karunagaran is a Toowoomba-based psychiatrist specialising in children and adolescents. She believes that collaborating with her patients and their families to find appropriate evidence-based treatment solutions that best support the mental wellbeing of the young people she sees.

She works with all facets of mental health and is particularly skilled in the diagnosis and management of mental health conditions in children, adolescents and women.

Since completing the better part of her medical training in Brisbane and Toowoomba, Sangeetha has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings in public, private and non-profit institutions. She’s been a psychiatry resident in Toowoomba for a decade and has recently commenced private practise.
