Biography

Dr Sofia Smirnova is a highly qualified obstetrician who specialises in optimising women’s health. She has a particular interest in treating the causes of abnormal Pap smears as well as general obstetrics.

Dr Sofia Smirnova is a qualified obstetrician and gynaecologist with a Master of Medicine degree in reproductive health and human genetics from the University of Sydney. She is dedicated to providing the best health care to women by preventing disease, identifying and remedying problems and providing a level of care and attention that is both professional and compassionate.

Sofia is a VMO in obstetrics and gynaecology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney where she provides private obstetric, private and public gynaecological services as well as regular operating lists. She holds an accreditation for advanced laparoscopic surgery and is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG), the Australian Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) and the Australian Medical Association (AMA).
