Biography

Prof Brakoulias is a consultant psychiatrist who is internationally recognised for his work with people suffering from obsessive-compulsive and related disorders.

Professor Vlasios Brakoulias is an academic leader and the Editor in Chief of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists' medical journal "Australasian Psychiatry". Professor Brakoulias has published over 100 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at international conferences.

Prof Brakoulias graduated with honours from The University of Sydney and was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from The University of Sydney for his work on obsessive-compulsive disorder. He is keen to improve treatment outcomes for people suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder and has been recognised as a pioneer in early intervention for people suffering from this disorder.
