Biography

Mr Bernard Lim is a Melbourne-based oral and maxillofacial surgeon specialising in the treatment of people with conditions and trauma related injuries to the head, neck, face, jaw.

Mr Lim practices the full range of maxillofacial surgery, treating patients for benign and malignant pathology and facial trauma. He is trained in the areas of and dento-facial deformity, cranioplasty techniques, complex facial trauma and orthognathic surgery.

Bernard attended the University of Melbourne and graduated top of his class in dentistry in 1999 before graduating with honours from medicine in 2005. He then worked as a surgical registrar gaining valuable experience in many of Melbourne’s major hospitals including St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Austin Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, Dandenong Hospital and The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. He completed his training in oral and maxillofacial Surgery in 2009.

Bernard left Australia to gain international experience in the UK at London’s prestigious King’s College Hospital.. He has a keen interest in teaching both students, registrars and general dental and medical practitioners.
