Biography

Mr Damien Grinsell is an experienced Melbourne-based plastic surgeon. He will advise objectively on your need for surgery and will then tailor a plan to achieve the best possible result.

Mr Grinsell specialises in aesthetic rejuvenation of the breast, face and nose. Damien is one of Australia's pioneers in perforator flaps (where skin and/or subcutaneous fat are removed from a distant or adjacent part of the body to replace the damaged part). He uses this technique for microsurgical reconstruction of a range of complicated defects.

Damien has been an invited presenter at national and international conferences and has journal articles and book chapters published on a range of topics. He is passionate about passing on his knowledge by being involved in the teaching of plastic surgery and has conducted missions to Nepal on behalf of the plastic surgery charity, Interplast.
