Biography
Mr Ricky Kumar is a Melbourne-based oral and maxillofacial surgeon who treats a full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial complaints. He has a sub-specialty interest in paediatric maxillofacial surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery.
Ricky is qualified with degrees in both medicine from the University of Auckland and dentistry from the University of Otago in New Zealand. He completed his specialist oral and maxillofacial surgical training in Adelaide, and then undertook a further 12 months of sub-specialty fellowship training in paediatric maxillofacial surgery and corrective jaw surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. Seeking further experience, he travelled to the UK to carry out a year-long clinical fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals, gaining experience in paediatric maxillofacial and TMJ surgery.
