Biography

Stephen is one of Australia's leading Endocrine Surgeons. Over more than 20 years as a specialist, he has a vast experience of all aspects of endocrine surgery and has performed more than 4500 thyroid operations and more than 1800 parathyroid operations.

When possible, he performs minimally invasive or "Keyhole" parathyroid surgery and thyroid surgery, and laparoscopic or retroperitoneoscopic ("Keyhole") adrenal surgery. 

Stephen performs ultrasound and ultrasound guided biopsies, when appropriate, in his office. He will organise other investigations to clarify the diagnosis and plan the most appropriate management, whether that is observation, medical treatment or surgery.
