Mr Tiew Fong Han is a Melbourne-based neurosurgeon with a clinical interest in spine, brain and skull tumour surgery. He is a good communicator and will explain his best-course treatment plan in detail.

Mr Fong Han has a special interest in in spinal surgery, aneurysm and tumour surgery, both brain and spinal. He employs new techniques in neurosurgery, in particular, complex spinal surgery and artificial disc procedures.

Tiew studied medicine at the University of Adelaide and graduated in 1991. He then undertook his initial neurosurgery training at Flinders Medical Centre, The Adelaide Children's Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Tiew worked as a senior neurosurgical registrar at St Vincent's Hospital in 2000 before undertaking further post-graduate training in Scotland.

Tiew has a private practice and is actively involved in training of junior surgical residents and registrars. He also supervises spinal surgery training for the post-fellowship education and training program.
