Biography

Professor Christopher Hayward is a heart failure and transplant cardiologist who is Director of the Mechanical and Circulatory Support research program at St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Professor Hayward's research interests lie in the haemodynamics of cardiac failure and advanced heart failure management, particularly the patient pump optimisation of left ventricular mechanical support devices.

As well as being a current Professor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales and Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, Christopher is also a past Chairman of the Heart Failure Working Group of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
