Biography
Professor Jacqueline Center as a highly experienced endocrinologist consulting at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. She primarily treats people with bone-related conditions.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with honours from the University of Sydney, Professor Jacqueline Center concluded her endocrinology training to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1993. She then went on to complete a Master of Science in Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health, USA, and a further PhD at the University of New South Wales.Jacqueline has been instrumental in pioneering work on the consequences of osteoporotic fracture and high risk refracture and its affiliation to premature mortality. This has resulted in various research collaborations with international colleagues throughout Europe, Canada, and the USA.
Her experience and involvement in extensive research projects sees her often called upon to give regular educational talks to medical practitioners and the general public.
