Biography

Professor Michael Feneley is an experienced cardiologist. He received his medical degree from the University of NSW (Hons 1) and completed a Doctorate of Medicine (UNSW). He completed specialist training in Cardiology through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).

He is a Past President of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and a recipient of the Society’s RT Hall Prize for cardiac research.

Michael is actively involved in teaching and research. He’s a Conjoint Professor at UNSW and a Faculty member of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. 

In 2012, he was named a Member of the Order of Australia for services to the field of Cardiology as a clinician, researcher and educator.
