2025 Cardiothoracic & Vascular Symposium: Arrythmias Session

In this learning module, GPs will learn how to identify and manage arrhythmias to prevent complications and
improve patient outcomes. They will view case studies on syncope, bradycardia, pacemakers and vasovagal
responses while also gaining insight into atrial fibrillation, irregular pulse and the role of smart watches.

Learning Outcomes:

Apply clinical criteria to assess and stratify syncope episode for urgent vs. routine referral.
Differentiate between atrial fibrillation and other common tachyarrhythmias based on ECG findings.
Interpret three common ECG abnormalities often seen in primary care and determine the appropriate
management approach.
