2025 Cardiothoracic & Vascular Symposium: Heart Valve MDT Session

In this learning module, GPs will view a mock Heart Valve Multidisciplinary Team meeting where they will gain an
overview of causes of breathlessness, both cardiac and non-cardiac, learn how to investigate using imaging,
biomarkers and functional tests as well as identify high risk patients needing specialist input. The session will also
cover the difference between benign and pathological murmurs, the role of echocardiography and TAVI versus
valvular disease.
