Dr David Carmody, Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Carmody’s main interest is conditions of the foot, ankle and knee. His fellowship training had an emphasis on arthroscopic techniques for treating arthritis and sports injuries. He also has expertise in fracture management of the foot and ankle. He can provide an expert opinion on conditions affecting the foot, ankle and knee including sports injuries, arthritis, instability, malalignment and tendon and cartilage problems.  He has published research in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and had papers presented at meetings throughout Australia and abroad.

Dr Andrew Higgs, Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Andrew Higgs specialist interest and knowledge is in all foot and ankle conditions, particularly sports injuries, deformity correction such as bunion correction and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Dr Higgs is a teacher of medical students, junior doctors and specialist orthopaedic trainees. He is a clinical lecturer for the University of NSW and Macquarie University as well as a Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Notre Dame. He also instructs for the RACS.
