- We are migrating five years of patient data into Meditech Expanse. If the data migration isn't complete, please use deLacy in read-only mode to access historical data.

Thank you for your engagement and cooperation in making this transition to Meditech a success.
Health Link Secure Messaging
HealthLink Secure Messaging is being activated across all St Vincent’s Private Hospitals in New South Wales.
From the week commencing 18 August, patient discharge summaries will be sent automatically via HealthLink to a patient’s GP — if that GP is registered with HealthLink and listed in the patient record.
This change will:
- Improve communication with community GPs
- Reduce manual processes and administrative burden
- Support better continuity of care for our private patients
Thank you for your continued support as we modernise and improve how we share information with our community healthcare providers.

Discharging patients by 10.00am
In a recent audit, we identified that 72% of our patients are being discharged after 11.00am. This note is a reminder of the Hospital’s Admission Criteria Policy which states discharge time is 10.00am or earlier.
It is important that this criteria is adhered to, as it supports room preparations for new admissions and ensures nursing and support staff are scheduled appropriately for anticipated patient volumes throughout the day.
We understand there may be instances where a 10.00am discharge is not appropriate due to the patient's condition. In such circumstances, please communicate with the Nurse Unit Manager to facilitate alternative discharge arrangements.

deLacy will not be accessible from June 5 2025
Starting June 5, 2025, you will not be able to access deLacy as the system is being discontinued from use.
What does this mean for me?
- All deLacy patient records from Jan 2020 have been migrated into MEDITECH.
- If a patient has been pre-admitted since March 4, 2025, these records will be available to be viewed in the chart.
- For patients who have not been pre-admitted since March 4, 2025, these records will not appear in the chart but can still be accessed through e-Chart.
- Hospital Coordinators and NUMs have been provided access and training on eChart.
- Doctors can access the migrated records from Jan 2020 through the Medical module, they do not need to access records via eChart.
- If you require access to deLacy patient records pre-Jan 2020, please contact your local Health Information Management team.
If you have any issues accessing MEDITECH, please reach out to the MEDITECH training team at MEDITECH.EMR.Training@svha.org.au.
