St Vincent's Private Community Hospital Griffith has announced the commencement of two new visiting specialists, Associate Professor Keran Sundaraj and Dr. Danielle Delaney, who will strengthen healthcare services for the Riverina community.

New Orthopaedic and Urological Services

Associate Professor Keran Sundaraj, an orthopaedic surgeon, began his practice at the hospital in July. He specialises in sports injuries, including knee, hip, and trauma surgery. A/Prof Sundaraj has extensive experience from his time at St Vincent’s Sydney and The Mater Hospital in North Sydney. He advocates for a conservative, multidisciplinary approach to improve patient function before considering surgical intervention. His additional areas of expertise include:

  • Primary and revision cruciate ligament surgery
  • Meniscal repair and surgery
  • Patellofemoral instability
  • Ligament injuries
  • Early-stage arthritis management with 3D-planned osteotomy
  • Robotically-assisted hip and knee replacements for advanced arthritis

Dr. Danielle Delaney, a specialist in urology, started in August. She is one of the few female urologists in New South Wales. Her practice focuses on comprehensive adult and paediatric urological care, including:

  • Minimally invasive endoscopic surgery including complex urinary tract stones and benign prostatic disease
  • Functional urology and continence issues for both men and women, including stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder / urge urinary incontinence, and male LUTS
  • Neurological bladder conditions
  • Recurrent UTI for both men and women

Dr. Delaney is also one of a few urologists accredited to treat stones in adolescents and children. Both specialists have previously worked with St Vincent's Health Australia at The Mater Hospital in North Sydney. Their decision to extend their services to Griffith aims to provide enhanced care for regional patients.
