The Mater Hospital is a leading private Catholic not-for-profit hospital located in Sydney on the North Shore.
 
The Mater Hospital is a 230 bed facility with 15 operating theatres; 2 cardiac catheter laboratories; an endoscopy unit; 12-chair 1-bed day oncology unit; 12 bed ICU; a large maternity unit with a dedicated caesarean section operating theatre, a level-4 special care nursery; as well as a centre for wellbeing that offers physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing services to cancer patients. Our core specialities include obstetrics; orthopaedics; heart, lung and vascular medicine and surgery; cancer care and surgery; gynaecology, urology and endocrine surgeries; as well as neurosurgery.
 
The Mater Hospital is the only Australian Hospital to be accepted as a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres. Orthopaedic Surgery is one of the major clinical programs at the Mater with over 8,700 orthopaedic procedures performed over the past year (including over 2,200 joint replacement procedures). Committed to clinical research, education and training, the Mater functions as an academic centre with a full time Orthopaedic Registrar, Orthopaedic Fellows in advanced training and an Orthopaedic Intern. The Mater also conducts education for medical students in Orthopaedics and General Surgery.

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney is located in the heart of the well-known St Vincent’s Health Campus in Darlinghurst and co-located with St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and research centres including the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, The Kinghorn Cancer Centre and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
 
We are an exclusively private, 310 bed - all single rooms with ensuite, acute care facility known for our highly specialised and complex surgical and medical services and outstanding patient care.
 
We have recently completed a major redevelopment and refurbishment worth in excess of $150M which has transformed our facilities including the addition of a 13-level building providing additional patient accommodation, consulting suites, operating theatres, both inpatient and day rehabilitation services including a start of the art hydrotherapy pool and a new ambulatory care centre.
 
We now boast 16 operating theatres across two levels, including a new hybrid theatre.  We pride ourselves on leading with innovation through latest technology and now have two da Vinci robots being used daily across key specialty areas.  We have 12 bed Intensive Care Unit to support our complex surgical and medical services.
 
As an integrated teaching and research facility, we aim to continually push the boundaries of healthcare and improve patient outcomes. Our co-location creates cross-campus opportunities for our specialists and drives ground-breaking research to continue to pioneer innovative procedures with the latest technology.
