Biography

Associate Professor Cameron Holloway is a cardiologist helping people with a wide range of cardiac concerns. He has extensive training and experience using advanced imaging techniques, including MRI, to assess cardiovascular disease.

Cameron graduated from Monash University in Melbourne and undertook his specialist cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney. He then pursued further training in advanced cardiac imaging at the University of Oxford in the UK, where he went on to work as a consultant cardiologist and academic for 6 years. He’s since completed both a PhD and post-doctoral research focussed on assessing mechanisms of heart disease using cardiac MRI.

Cameron has a continued interest in education and supervises honours, masters and PhD students. His work has been widely published, and he was recently awarded a 5-year Australian Heart Foundation Life Science Research Fellowship to help develop advanced imaging techniques in Australia.

Better and fairer care. Always.

In a rapidly transforming world, St Vincent's has created a refreshed vision and strategy to help shape Australia's health and aged care future.
