Biography

Associate Professor Jane McCrohon is a clinical cardiologist with a particular interest in cardiac imaging, early detection and prevention of heart disease, and cardiomyopathy.

After completing her medical degree and advanced training in cardiology in Sydney, A/Prof Jane McCrohon undertook additional fellowship training in cardiac imaging in London. She also holds a PhD from the Heart Research Institute in Sydney.

Returning to St George Hospital in 2002, she was the Director of Cardiology there for 5 years. She has a strong interest in teaching and training at the graduate and undergraduate level, and holds an appointment as Associate Professor in Medicine at the University of New South Wales.

Jane has worked as a cardiologist at St Vincent’s since 2007. She is fully accredited in performing cardiovascular CT and MRI, and has ongoing clinical and research interests in the use of advanced cardiac imaging modalities to provide early and more accurate detection of heart disease.
