Biography

Professor Nicholas Pocock has over 30 years’ experience in bone densitometry.


After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1978 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Nicholas went on to complete his specialist training, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1987.

Due to his work in the area of bone densitometry, Nicholas has been appointed to a number of working parties and clinical advisory groups to government bodies, and is a principal spokesperson on the subject of osteoporosis.

As well as having completed a further Doctor of Medicine, he’s also published extensively in national and international journals on osteoporosis and bone densitometry, and holds an appointment as Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales.
