Biography

Ahmed Al-Kaisey is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist who is passionate about providing holistic and evidence based treatments for heart rhythm disorders to his patients.

Ahmed specialises in the management of heart rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation (AF), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and ventricular arrhythmias. He also implants and manages cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable loop recorders.

Ahmed completed his cardiology training at Austin Health before undertaking a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He recently completed a 12 months clinical fellowship at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London.

Ahmed completed a PhD through the University of Melbourne focusing on understanding the mechanisms of atrial fibrillation. He was supported by the prestigious National Heart Foundation/National Health and Medical Research Council Scholarships. He has authored over 40 peer reviewed papers in high impact journals and won several awards at local and international conferences.
