Biography
Dr. Alex Huang is a cardiologist with interests in general cardiology, prevention and cardiometabolic health. His subspeciality expertise lies in cardiac imaging and he is well versed in echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI.
Alex graduated from the University of Auckland and underwent his cardiology training at The Alfred Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney). He then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Echocardiography at Massachusetts General Hospital/ Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, and a Fellowship in Cardiac CT/MRI at St. Paul’s Hospital/University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. In addition to clinical training, Alex attained his PhD through Monash University, focusing on lipids, thrombosis and atherosclerosis.Alex holds a public appointment at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He is an experienced cardiologist in all aspects of general cardiology and has special interests in prevention, precision risk assessment and management of diabetes- and obesity-related heart disease.
