Biography

Dr Amrita Prasad is a Specialist Pain and Rehabilitation Medicine Physician consulting at St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane.

After completing medical school in Australia, Dr Prasad completed dual fellowship training in Rehabilitation Medicine and Pain Medicine. She has worked in many regional and metropolitan hospitals and is actively involved in the mentorship of trainees. She has been an invited speaker at various Pain Conferences and is also on the Faculty of Pain Medicine Board as the New Fellow Representative. 

Dr Prasad is passionate about helping her patients live their best life. She believes in treating all patients with chronic pain individually, as each person’s journey with pain is unique. Dr Prasad treats her patients within a holistic framework utilising multidisciplinary teamwork, evidence based care, and interventional pain procedures including spinal cord stimulation. She treats all areas of pain and has a special interest in persistent post surgical pain, neuropathic pain, pelvic pain and complex regional pain syndrome and is involved in the rehabilitation of patients post deconditioning and surgery.
