Biography

Dr Annika Smith is a highly qualified dermatologist and treats a wide range of skin conditions. She has particular interest in eczema, psoriasis and urticaria as well as finding treatment for skin that is affected by sunlight.

Dr Smith is a general dermatologist in both the adult and paediatric domains and holds a special interest in medical dermatology including skin cancer diagnostics, management and prevention.

She completed her medical school training at Monash University in Melbourne and was awarded university prizes for the highest aggregate marks in clinical medicine, infectious diseases, dermatology and psychiatry.

Annika’s training in general medicine took place in Sydney at Royal Prince Alfred and Royal North Shore Hospital. This was followed by dermatology training at Prince of Wales, St Vincent’s hospital and the Skin & Cancer Foundation Darlinghurst. Annika was selected to undertake a fellowship year at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London. This was followed by further sub-specialty training in New York in her areas of interest working alongside leading dermatologists.

Widely respected, Annika has been published in local and international dermatology journals. She has presented at national and international conferences and has co-authored several book chapters in the field of dermatology.
