Biography
Dr Christopher Li Wai Suen is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with a focus on bowel disorders. He performs endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr Christopher Li Wai Suen graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (First Class Honours). He trained at leading hospitals, including Monash Health, Western Health, and Austin Health, where he also gained experience at the Victorian Liver Transplant Unit. He later completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Austin Health.
Dr Christopher Li Wai Suen is passionate about improving patient care through research. He holds a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Melbourne, supported by an NHMRC scholarship. His research aims to improve the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease.

He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), the European Crohn’s & Colitis Organisation (ECCO), and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).
