Biography

Dr Claire Francis is a Melbourne-based obstetrician and gynaecologist with a passion for caring for women during pregnancy as well as those with general gynaecological related matters.

Dr Francis is an obstetrician and gynaecologist providing obstetric care for women during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. She is also an experienced gynaecologist in the areas of laparoscopic surgery, and the management and treatment of menstrual disorders and pelvic pain. 

Claire graduated with honours from Monash University in Melbourne and undertook her post-graduate training at The Mercy Hospital for Women.  She then worked in Papua New Guinea before completing her obstetrics and gynaecological training in the UK. She then completed her post-fellowship specialist training in laparoscopic urogynaecological surgery in Adelaide where she now practises privately. She maintains a strong commitment to teaching and public health.
