Biography
Dr Daniel Lancini is a Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist consulting at St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside.
Dr Lancini has expertise in the management of heart rhythm disorders including electrophysiological studies and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac device implantation (including leadless and left bundle area pacing), and workup of palpitations and syncope.
He undertook his medical degree at The University of Queensland with an Academic Excellence Scholarship, before graduating with First Class Honours in 2014. Following this, he completed specialist training as a Cardiologist in 2021, through the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
Subsequently, Dr Lancini undertook an international fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Canada, from 2022 to 2024 under the mentorship of distinguished North American leaders in the field of cardiac arrhythmia.
Dr Lancini has been actively involved in medical research, having received a prestigious Queensland Health Research Fellowship, and was awarded a PhD in 2024 through The University of Queensland for his work on the drivers and clinical impact of atrial fibrillation. He has published his novel findings in a range of prominent peer-reviewed international cardiology journals, and presented his work at premier international heart rhythm conferences.
