Biography
Dr. Deanne is a highly skilled urological surgeon with a focus on robotic procedures for both cancerous and non-cancerous conditions. Her dedication lies in adopting a patient-centered healthcare model by ensuring that every patient feels at ease and well-informed throughout their journey.
Dr. Deanne began her academic path with Science and Education degrees from The University of Melbourne and La Trobe University, followed by a postgraduate Medicine qualification from the University of Notre Dame (Sydney and Melbourne). She obtained two Masters’ degrees during her early years as a doctor before she pursued formal urology training in Victoria. Beyond her foundational training in Urological surgery, she has gained additional proficiency with advanced training in Robotic Urological Surgery (Prostate, Kidney and Bladder Cancer Surgery) at Stepping Hill Hospital, England. She also performs general urological procedures. Beyond the operating room, Dr. Deanne is a strong advocate for teaching, mentoring, and leadership. She is a current member of the USANZ Diversity and Inclusion Committee and part of the RACS Women in Surgery Group. Outside her professional life, Dr. Deanne is a keen traveller, a food enthusiast and enjoys spending quality time with her partner and their two dogs.
