Dileep's special clinical interests include hepatology, gastroscopy and colonoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, reflux disease, and functional bowel disorders. After completing his basic physician and specialist gastroenterological training at the Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, Dileep undertook a 3-year advanced fellowship in interventional endoscopy at the Alfred and Western Health in Melbourne, where he received training in endoscopic mucosal resection, endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP, and endoluminal stenting.
He then sought further experience overseas, training at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology in endoscopic resection (endoscopic submucosal dissection) of early gastric, oesophageal tumours, and colonic lesions.
