Biography

Dominic completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne, before completing further training in Cardiology in Melbourne. Thereafter, Dominic underwent additional sub-specialisation in electrophysiology and cardiac devices (including pacemakers and defibrillators). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Dominic maintains a strong academic affiliation with the University of Melbourne, as an honorary clinical lecturer, and a recipient of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) post-graduate scholarship and Heart Foundation PhD scholarship. The main area of Dominic’s expertise lies in advances in pacing techniques and cardiac devices, in the management of heart blocks and cardiomyopathies.

Dominic strives to have his patients leave each consultation session with a better understanding of their heart health. Cardiology can be complex, and explaining key concepts and treatment options in an easy-to-digest manner is a main focus of his patient care, which ultimately affords patients a clearer appreciation of their health.

Better and fairer care. Always.

In a rapidly transforming world, St Vincent's has created a refreshed vision and strategy to help shape Australia's health and aged care future.
