Biography
Dr Edwina Eade is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in Oculoplastic, Orbital, and Lacrimal Surgery, as well as Ocular Oncology.
Dr Eade graduated with Honours in Medicine from the University of Sydney and completed her ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital, including a year at Westmead Children’s Hospital. She holds a Master’s in Ophthalmic Science and undertook an Ocular Oncology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital (Philadelphia), with further training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (Miami), Royal Manchester Eye Hospital (UK), and Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital (Melbourne).Dr. Eade is a Fellow of RANZCO, a member of ANZSOPS, and an active clinical researcher with multiple publications and international conference presentations. She is also involved in clinical trials for thyroid eye disease and is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney.
Known for her patient-centered approach, she considers non-surgical options when appropriate. She operates at the Mater Hospital, and consults at clinics in St Leonards, Frenchs Forest, Mona Vale, and Norwest. She also contributes to the facial nerve palsy team at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and has volunteered in ophthalmology outreach across Cambodia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and India.
