Biography

A/Prof Emma Readman is a Melbourne-based gynaecologist providing specialist care to women. She listens attentively and makes individual treatment plans with thorough recommendations to optimise the outcomes.

A/Prof Readman provides treatment for menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She performs complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures, including laparoscopic (vaginal) hysterectomy.

Emma graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1994 and attained a fellowship in the Royal Australian and NZ College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a 2-year fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery. She gained international experience in France, Belgium and Italy studying endometriosis, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.

Emma has been regularly visiting Mongolia for the last 10 years and has been teaching and operating there. She has published widely and is involved in research, with numerous grants for ongoing gynaecological projects.
