Biography
Dr Fernando Infante is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who takes a holistic approach to healthcare that is firmly woman-centred, while also grounded in evidence-based medicine.
He completed his medical degree at the prestigious School of Medicine of the Universidad del Valle in Colombia. Having delivered more than fifty babies by the time of graduation, Fernando recognised that his true vocation was in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He worked in General Practice for two years before migrating to Australia in 2000. In 2002 he completed a Master of Public Health at UNSW and gained experience in General Practice Research, before resuming full clinical practice in Australia in 2004. Since 2005 he has dedicated his career exclusively to O&G.
Dr Infante is strongly committed to public service, where he runs a specialised Next Birth After Caesarean Section antenatal clinic, mentors RANZCOG trainees and junior doctors, and contributes to clinical governance leadership. His private practice is conveniently located in Frenchs Forest, where he consults in both English and Spanish.
