Biography

Dr Fraser Mackenzie is a general physician with a particular interest in acute geriatric medicine, perioperative medicine, hypertension, diabetes, clinical pharmacology and rehabilitation.

Dr Fraser Mackenzie is a general physician practising all aspects of general medicine but with a particular interest in acute geriatric medicine, perioperative medicine, hypertension, diabetes, clinical pharmacology and rehabilitation.

A graduate of the University of Queensland Medical School, Fraser went on to complete his training in general medicine at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2005, he commenced his practice at the Wesley Hospital in Brisbane. During his tenure here he served on the Medical Advisory Committee and the Medication Safety Committee.

Fraser is also an enthusiastic teacher. He’s been actively involved in teaching medical students and interns the general medicine specialty, and has held several academic posts including Lecturer in Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor in Medicine at the University of Queensland.
