Biography

Dr Georgia McCaughan is a clinical and laboratory Haematologist at St Vincent’s Hospital. She graduated from Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney in 2011 with the University Medal and has completed a Masters in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology). She completed her Haematology Advanced Training at Westmead Hospital and completed a Myeloma Fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.

Georgia McCaughan has an interest in plasma cell dyscrasias including multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. She is the chair of the Myeloma Working Group of the Australian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG), a steering committee member of The Australasian Myeloma Research Consortium (AMaRC) and a member of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Group to Myeloma Australia. She is a principal investigator on numerous clinical trials in the area of multiple myeloma and is actively involved in novel clinical trial design. She is Senior Research Associate with the University of New South Wales and Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
